Wes has spent his life in the hamlet of Crestwood, hidden among the trees of the Pacific Northwest. It's a town that has survived centuries after the old world fell by abiding by three simple rules: don't venture beyond the boundaries, pull your weight in the community, and don't ask questions.
But Wes isn't satisfied with this life. He has never even seen one of the dragons his people hide from—the monsters that supposedly destroyed the old world and forced humanity into hiding. Since the deaths of his mother and older brother, Wes's father has grown increasingly distant and desperate to mold his remaining son into someone Wes hardly recognizes.
When a shipwreck leaves a single survivor under impossible circumstances, it creates the first crack in everything Wes has been taught. His search for answers leads him beyond Crestwood and into the path of Luna.
Luna and her cousin belong to the Celestials, a mysterious group of exceptionally gifted women, and they reveal a world Wes never knew existed—one where people and dragons don't merely coexist, but are Linked. Through these bonds, they can communicate with their dragons and wield remarkable powers.
Wes learns that ancient Bloodlines capable of forming these Links have survived since before the fall—and that he belongs to one of them. His search for the dragon that should be waiting for him takes him into magnificent cities where magic and civilization have flourished. But the deeper he ventures into this unfamiliar world, the more he discovers that appearances can be deceiving, loyalties are not always what they seem, and the truth is far more complicated than he imagined. With every answer comes another mystery, and the closer he gets to uncovering the secrets of his past, the greater the danger he risks bringing back to the family he left behind.
After years of writing, worldbuilding, and countless revisions, I'm thrilled to announce that Linked: A World Uncovered is officially complete!
Current Stage: Beta Readers & Literary Agent Queries
I'm currently gathering beta readers to experience the world of Linked and share their feedback while simultaneously querying literary agents in hopes of pursuing traditional publication.
It's an exciting (and admittedly nerve-racking!) stage of the journey, but I'm looking forward to seeing where it leads.
I'll continue sharing updates as Linked makes its way toward publication. Thank you for following along and supporting this adventure!
